USA Ball Hockey Future Stars Invitational Returns to Utica

Utica, NY – Premier youth ball hockey will be back in town as the Adirondack Bank Center and the Utica University Nexus Center get set to host the sixth annual USA Ball Hockey Future Stars Invitational this weekend for the second straight year. The festivities will take place from August 7th-9th. 

The Future Stars Invitational was founded on the mission of uniting the top youth ball hockey players from across the US and providing an environment for them to develop and prepare for future national team opportunities. The first ever tournament was held in 2020 and featured just three divisions. This year, over 500 athletes across six divisions are expected to participate in what has become an international showcase. Players ranging from ages 9 to 19 will travel from NJ, PA, NY, MA, and across Canada to the Mohawk Valley.

Ball hockey has seen a dramatic rise in popularity in recent years, in large part thanks to USA Ball Hockey's work in supporting communities through organized programs. Unlike traditional hockey, ball hockey is an off-ice sport that requires simply a ball, stick, and pair of sneakers, and comes without many of the high costs associated with ice hockey. It's suitable for all ages and skill levels and can be played recreationally in your neighborhood cul-de-sac, or on the competitive international stage. 

The Adirondack Bank Center and Utica University Nexus Center will have the honor of hosting the tournament for the second consecutive year after last summer's success. The facility features three rinks, 12 state-of-the-art pro locker rooms, ample seating, premium suites, convenient parking, multiple dining options on site, and a plethora of hotels and restaurants nearby, providing an ideal venue for players and families to have a memorable experience.
