Tickets Still Available to the 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championship

UTICA, N.Y. – USA Hockey and organizers for the April 3-14, 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championship, in Utica, N.Y., today unveiled the full schedule and activities for the Subaru World Championship Village. Open to fans who have a ticket to ANY game of the tournament, the World Championship Village will be the hub of activity throughout the 12-day women’s ice hockey tournament and festival. The space will be open from 3-11 p.m. ET daily, with live music filling the indoor venue beginning at 4 p.m. each day of the tournament.

“We’ve modeled the Subaru World Championship Village after Olympic villages around the globe” said Rob Esche, Mohawk Valley Garden president. “The Adirondack Bank Center complex will transform into a festival during the entire event to celebrate the World Championship in Utica. Music and entertainment coming in from around the country will bring our community together for an experience unlike any other.”

Centrally located on Whitesboro Street and Auditorium Drive, adjacent to the Adirondack Bank Center, the Subaru World Championship Village indoors will offer visitors a host of exciting, engaging activities to include interactive virtual reality games, lawn games, a biergarten and much more. Visitors will also be able to watch tournament highlights and pre-game shows on large-screen televisions, while enjoying food and beverages from local and area restaurants and take in live music from bands ranging from Nashville to New York.

The Subaru World Championship Village will carry outdoors too, where visitors will take in a carnival-like atmosphere featuring an interactive hockey “fun zone,” a variety of vendors and more live entertainment. The focal point of the outdoor activities is a Ferris Wheel that will carry passengers high above the city of Utica’s skyline.

Oneida County executiveAnthony (Tony) Picente Jr. added, “When we first announced that Oneida County was hosting the IIHF Women’s World Championship, we promised it would be a party unlike anything this region has ever seen and today we’re happy to give you a taste of what’s in store. With the Subaru World Championship Village, downtown Utica is going to be transformed into an interactive entertainment hub that will bring music, games, food and more to complement the exciting hockey action taking place inside the Adirondack Bank Center. We can’t wait for everyone to be a part of this unique experience.”
